Check knowledge readiness

Transcript
- Before technicians rely on your documents, knowledge readiness checks them for problems.
- Each product family shows how many of its sources are ready for use.
- Every finding names the document and what is wrong with it. Here, the same manual was uploaded twice.
- Merge the copies and keep one. The other is marked as superseded.
- A finding that needs no action is dismissed with a note, so the reason stays on record.
- When a person has to judge, send the finding to expert review.
- The analysis runs again by itself after every upload and every change.
Knowledge readiness checks your technical sources for problems before their knowledge is trusted. The summary shows how many sources were analysed, how many are ready for use and how many need a person’s review; Readiness by product family shows the same per family. Every member except external partners can look; administrators and knowledge managers act on the findings.
What it finds
Section titled “What it finds”| Finding | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Duplicate file | The same file was uploaded more than once. |
| Unreadable document, unsupported file content, low-quality scan | ServLore could not read the file well enough. |
| Missing version information, missing date | A manual without an edition, a document without a date. |
| Unknown product mapping, ambiguous model reference, unknown model code | The document’s machine is unclear, or it names a model that is not in the catalogue. |
| Missing revision range | The model has several revisions, but the document does not say which. |
| Possibly obsolete, conflicting document title | A newer source seems to replace this one. |

- Resolve closes a finding you fixed, Dismiss one that needs no action, each with a note.

Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- A resolved finding comes back if its cause is still there; a dismissed one stays dismissed.
