Transcript
  1. Verification is where experts and knowledge managers decide what technicians may rely on.
  2. The queue holds new knowledge items, the relations between them, and new sources.
  3. Filter by machine model to work through one product at a time.
  4. Open an item to check it against its source.
  5. The source page opens with the quoted passage marked.
  6. An expert confirms it. A knowledge manager approves it officially, and technicians then receive it as an instruction.
  7. Every decision is recorded with its note, so it stays traceable.
  8. Disputed and rejected knowledge never reaches a technician as guidance.

Verification is the queue of everything that waits for a person’s decision: new knowledge items, relations between them and new sources. Items about safety-critical subjects come first, then the oldest. It is the start page of every expert.

  1. Open Verification. Switch between Knowledge items, Relations and Sources, and filter by machine model.
  2. Open an entry and check it against its Evidence. Page opens the source page with the quoted passage marked.
  3. Decide:
    • Confirm: an expert has checked it. It becomes Expert confirmed.
    • Approve: a knowledge manager or administrator approves it as company guidance. It becomes Officially approved.
    • Dispute: it is doubtful; say why.
    • Reject: it is wrong; say why.
  4. Add a Note and confirm. The decision is recorded under Verification history.
  • A confirmed item leaves the queue. To approve it afterwards, open it from the knowledge library and choose Approve there.
  • Dispute and Reject always need a note, so the reasoning stays traceable.
  • What the assistant may cite, by status, is set under Organisation settings.
