Transcript
- In ServLore, knowledge always belongs to a machine. So the catalogue of your product families, machine models and revisions comes first.
- Pick a product family to see its models.
- Add a model with the code your documents use, so ServLore recognises it in manuals and questions.
- A model marked safety-critical always needs an expert's decision before ServLore gives guidance about it.
- Revisions tell the versions of a model apart by serial number, so every answer fits the exact machine.
- Each model has its own page with everything known about it: error codes, common failures, confirmed resolutions and case patterns.
- The tabs gather its knowledge, service cases, components, service bulletins and spare parts.
In ServLore, knowledge always belongs to a machine. The catalogue under Machine models holds your product families, the machine models in them and the revisions of each model. Everyone in the organisation can read it; administrators and knowledge managers keep it.
Step by step
Section titled “Step by step”- Open Machine models in the menu.
- Under Product families, choose a family, or create one with New product family.
- Choose New machine model. Enter its Name and the Model code your documents and nameplates use, such as MX420, and choose Create.
- Choose the model in the list and add its revisions with New revision: the Revision code, the serial number range from Serial from to Serial to, and the date it took effect.
- Choose Open next to a model to see its page.
The model page
Section titled “The model page”A model’s page gathers everything ServLore knows about it. The Overview shows its error codes and symptoms, common failures, confirmed resolutions, case patterns, components and documentation. The tabs Knowledge library, Service cases, Components, Service bulletins and Spare parts go into detail. Ask the AI Service Engineer starts a conversation with the model already set.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- Revisions are how ServLore tells which knowledge fits which machine: a bulletin for revision A does not appear for a revision B machine.
- Business units group product families by factory, subsidiary or service organisation.
- Many models at once? Use Import with a spreadsheet; see Import your data.
